#AtoZChallenge – Theme reveal: Storytelling

Back when I had a beat up stormtrooper and crappy camera phone.

What do you when you struggle to find time to write on the blog you love?

You take on a blog-everyday challenge. Obvi. I’m diving headfirst into the #AtoZChallenge in April – not unlike Michael Scott into a vat of acid. This might be the lift I need to get to regular blogging. But I’ll have to work ahead.

The #AtoZChallenge, for those who aren’t familiar, is in its 10th year.

I did this a while back. You write every day but Sunday in April. But in a style Sue Grafton would love, each day corresponds with a letter of the alphabet. My theme: Mindful storytelling. Life gives me tons of opportunities to write, just not the time.

One thing that will help: I’ll keep posts down to about 400 words each.

It’ll keep me from writing at 2:39 a.m. too often! It’s also a great opportunity to find new blogs and make new blog friends. Blog friends kind of rock. Almost as much as friends who make fresh guacamole every time you visit.

I don’t have very many of those friends, to be honest.

Here’s the link to get involved. Do it!

Are you doing the challenge this year? Lemme know.

Happy blogging Eli. A good way to get back into the swing of it.

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

Thanks, Miriam! Trying to lean in and get it done.

  3. I am sitting on the fence about doing the A to Z challenge. A stiff breeze might knock me off. 😉 I have no idea for a theme.

I am glad to see you are participating.

If I split this granola bar with you, will you do it?

      1. Nah, I just made a peach and cherry cobbler, so you can keep the granola bar. But I suppose I will do the challenge anyway. 😊 Thanks for pushing me off the fence, Eli.

      2. Eli Pacheco says:

I’d trade up for cobbler every day of the week. Off to see if you’re in the challenge!

      3. I will gladly share. Yes I am in.

      4. Eli Pacheco says:

        Yessss. (On both counts.)

  4. Eli – I’d love to do this again this year, but I can’t. Too much interior painting going on here. But I will support your effort. Good luck! I’ve always enjoyed the A to Z part of this challenge and loved the Sue Grafton reference. Cheers.

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

I totally get it – life is busy! How’s the painting?

      1. I put it on pause to do an online course. Now, I’m back at it. 1/3 finished. Blink, blink. Thanks for asking. 😉

      2. Eli Pacheco says:

Nice! Keep on keeping on, EG.

  5. That’s a great quote.

Yes, i will meander through the month, and if i ever get to meet you in person, i will make sure there is guacamole.

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

I love the quote, Mimi. I hope we do get to share a bowl of guacamole someday!

Love this. It might be what I need to get into blogging again. I have so many ideas but life happens and somehow I’m not able to get anything posted. Good luck to you!

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

Definitely do it! You have until the 6th, I think. Even short posts will get you started again …

  7. Kathy G says:

Good luck! I look forward to reading your posts.

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

Thanks, Kathy! Love to have you along.

  8. Liam says:

Yay! I’m looking forward to reading another of your A to Z’s.

Thanks, Liam! Hope you enjoy them.

Looking forward to reading your posts! And yes blog friends are truly wonderful. Nodding along to the guacamole comment – I cannot have nachos without it!

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

Thanks, Anthea! I love this community, and love that you’re in it. Where’s the guac? It’s close enough to lunch time.
