My girls have dug in their heels – thousands of times.
Over dinner, about bedtime, on TV shows. Over devices, about pets, on snacks. Over breakfast, about friends, on the way I dress, believe it or not. But they’ve never refused to leave the house without a blanket or significant stuffed toy.
I recently wrote a guest post for Gina at Totally Full of It blog about my kids’ attachments. Or lack of them. My girls never had that can’t-leave-behind item.
The girls are black-and-white when it comes to getting rid of toys. “Sure dad, put it in the yard sale.” Really? That teddy bear was there the first time we watched a football game in TV together! No, there’s not a load of sentimentality rolling there.
