My favorite Garrison Keillor quote goes like this:

guest post“I believe in looking reality straight in the eye and denying it.”

That’s what today’s guest post writer does on his blog, The Next Delusion. One half of them, anyway. Momus is one half of the dynamic duo who writes the blog with the tagline “seeing reality and looking the other way.”

Momus teams with wife Cassandra as dreamers, parents and data analysts trying to face middle age with a little creativity and humor. They’re regular commenters and six-words post contributors.

I never preview any of my future posts here on the CD.

It’s not that it’s a huge secret. Usually, it’s just that I haven’t started on the next post. You know, I like to keep it fresh around here.

I already know what Monday’s post will cover, though. It’ll be about high school graduation.

I’m still a couple of years away from it with Elise, so it’s not like that. You’ll see what I’m talking about Monday.

Ask Away Friday with NJ of A Cookie Before Dinner

A cool thing that happens when I collect for 6 Words posts is that I get to hear from a lot of bloggers. Some are old favorites. Others are destined to become new favorites. Some come with some pretty cool ideas.

NJ from A Cookie Before Dinner invited me to take part in a question swap I’d read on other blogs, called #AskAwayFriday.

Friday is normally sacred ground for the kids’ questions. But I decided to give this one a shot. I’m usually the one who fires the questions at people, in line at Wal-mart, in emails to bloggers or even to embattled NFL head coaches.
