On the Road Again: This Time, at The Mom of the Year

Every now and then, I put down the pizza.

I’ll sling the soccer bag off my shoulder and think about other things. I think about more than Star Wars or disc golf. I think about more than Malin Akerman or Kesha. Real life creeps in. I think about mortgage payments and politics.

I consider the environment and high glucose readings, for instance.

And then there’s education. Always education.

My friend Meredith at The Mom of the Year blog asked me to write a guest post. I thought about writing about leftovers (which I did, for another site – stay tuned), and that day I couldn’t find a T-shirt in Walmart that didn’t have something offensive to women screen-printed on it.

I also proposed a post titled “3 things I’d change about school.”

Yes, one has to do with lunch, but not like you might expect. Come check it out.

If you don’t know Meredith, you should. She’s a Philly-area mom of two who writes like a champ, right from the heart, and with a healthy dose of humor and funny dose of healthy perspective. You’ll love her just as I do!

Come visit – and stick around. You’ll be glad you did!

“Snacks are the stepping stones by which the river of hunger is crossed on the way to the penninsula of lunch.”

(Needs to be a quote somewhere).
