On the Road Again: This Time, at The Mom of the Year

Every now and then, I put down the pizza.

I’ll sling the soccer bag off my shoulder and think about other things. I think about more than Star Wars or disc golf. I think about more than Malin Akerman or Kesha. Real life creeps in. I think about mortgage payments and politics.

I consider the environment and high glucose readings, for instance.

And then there’s education. Always education.

My friend Meredith at The Mom of the Year blog asked me to write a guest post. I thought about writing about leftovers (which I did, for another site – stay tuned), and that day I couldn’t find a T-shirt in Walmart that didn’t have something offensive to women screen-printed on it.

I also proposed a post titled “3 things I’d change about school.”
