It’s convenient cosmic to have G Day fall on Guest post day on Wednesday. .

CD az challengeToday in the A to Z Challenge, H is for Hilary. As in, Hilary Grossman. You know her as author of the Feeling Beachie blog. She’s a frequent commenter on the CD, and many of you frequent her beachfront property, too.

Weeks ago, she asked for four fill-in-the-blank statements for her Friday blog hop.

I responded, with this:

  1. I ________ the feeling of_________a new__________.
  2. After ___ I _____.
  3. I once tried to text/email _______, but it came out ____ instead.
  4. The last thing I want to do when I feel ___________ is ___________.
Feeling Beachie

And here were my answers:

  1. I DIG the feeling of TRYING a new PIZZA PLACE.

Soccer tournaments take us to champion joints such as Columbia (S.C.)’s Village Idiot Pizza. (I want a shirt!)

  1. After THIS SEASON, I THINK I’LL RETIRE.

It’s been a long, crazy ride, and I wouldn’t have changed a bit. It’s time to hang them up and watch my girls.

  1. I once tried to text/email IMPRESSIVE, but it came out EXTRA SAUCE

Damn autocorrect. But this phone, she knows me, no?

  1. The last thing I want to do when I feel LIKE WRITING is ANYTHING ELSE.

Almost. I’d sooner ignore a box of animal cookies or Diana Krall concert than fight a post itching to get on paper.

Fill in your blanks, join the fray, and if you have sentences to donate, send them Hilary’s way. What can you come up with?

Mmmm, more sauce. Yes please, especially if it’s Satay sauce 🙂

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

Is satay sauce better than vegemite?

      1. Lyn says:

Yes. I’d have satay every day if I could 🙂

  2. Love this idea and so with on not wanting to do anything else when I want to write 😉

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

It’s like a sneeze – if you hold it in, you might bust something.

  3. laurie27wsmith says:

Fill in the blanks? I’ve been trying to do that with my mind all day.

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

I’ve spent 43 years doing that, mate.

  4. Julia Tomiak says:

H is for hilarious! These look like fun. I’m going to write them down to use with my kids on our next car trip. Thanks Eli!
And how are you finding time to write all these blog posts?!?

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

Hey thanks Julia! It was fun. Hilary is always looking for sentences, so you should shoot some her way.

It’s not been easy to find the time, but I’m writing shorter (400ish words) and not using my usual editing apps – which saves time, and makes it feel easier, too.

  5. Fun — like mad libs! I like the autocorrect one.

    Yvonne

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

That’s the spirit, Yvonne. Autocorrect might be more intuitive than I give it credit for.

  6. kismaslife says:

Depending on the week, pizza is just a perfect slice of heaven!!!

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

I’m strict about pizza – it’s only the perfect slice of heaven on weeks with seven days in it.

  7. Oh, I have one for no 4 right away…
The last thing I want to do when I feel sleepy is being wide awake – not that this ever happens to me 😉
I love that your auto-correct suggests extra sauce!!

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

I’ve been so sleepy but too hyped on caffeine to sleep. That’s a fun feeling. Extra sauce is the best option 78% of the time in life.

  8. tamaralikecamera says:

I love the feeling of gaining a new friend. (bet you thought I’d say cookie)
    After winter, I dance.
I once tried to text/email duck, but it came out @#$% instead. (my phone knows me!)
The last thing I want to do when I feel sick is be touched.

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

I did think you’d say cookie – or at least friend with cookies. I remember that Scarlet also had a bad-word phone event, right?

When I get sick, I like quiet isolation, a box of tissues, netflix and … did I mention quiet isolation?

  9. Rorybore says:

I haven’t dropped by Hilary’s in such a long time. Finding missing words used to be my go-to Friday post. I think I will have to drop by the beach again soon.

    1. Eli Pacheco says:

It’s always a good time for a trip to the beach, Rore.
